--~Fighter Classes~--
Mercenary A sword-for-hire who sells his blade to the highest bidder. He is a versatile fighter who wields any weapon he feels most comfortable with. He is a melee fighter who battles in the midst of combat.
Warrior A fighter who has braved many a battle with his trusty armament. He is a versatile fighter who wields and masters one or a few weapons that he feels most comfortable with. He is a melee fighter who battles fervently in the midst of combat.
Berserker (Adv.) A fighter of great strength and skill who lives for the sole purpose of combat and battle. He is a versatile fighter who masters many weapons, though normally remains with one or a few armaments he is most comfortable with. Berserkers are notorious for having the fearsome bloodlust on the field of battle. He is always at the center of the action, and is often responsible for the most kills.
Archer A ranger sub-class, the archer specializes in the use of bows. The archer is one who stands at the rear of the party and defends their position from a distance. All weapon proficiency is found with their bow and arrows, though some may find security in a small handheld weapon.
Ranger A fighter who specializes in the use of bows or other projectile weapons, and whose keen sight is renowned. As the ranger is a projectile-user, he is often at the edge of battle rather than in the midst of it, picking off targets from the safety of distance. Rangers are apt to have a small weapon, like a knife or a short sword, though they are not often proficient in its use.
Hunter (Int.) A fighter whose bow or other projectile is the killer equivalent of their vision. Their aim is often the most precise, their vision the keenest. As the hunter is a projectile-user, he is normally at the edge of battle rather than in the center of it, though the hunter is known for his close-combat abilities with a small hand weapon.
Tamer (Adv.) A fighter who has a high affinity for animals and attacks side-by-side with their animal partner. Tamers specialize in weaponless hand-to-hand combat and are known to be quite feral on the battlefield. Should the tamer ever use a weapon, it is always a simple knife or other small blade or a bow. He is often in the midst of battle, dodging, ducking, and picking off the weak as he goes. He rarely ever takes on an enemy by himself, choosing instead to double-team with another member of his party. The tamer is an obscure advancement of the ranger class.
Thief A street rat that makes his living off of others. His occupations vary from pick-pocketing to paid heists. The thief is a swift and often lightly-built character who specializes in wielding small, versatile weapons. Their special skills are picking locks and stealing. Thieves are rarely all-out melee fighters, choosing instead to pick off their opponents little by little whilst dodging around the field.
Rogue A ruffian who attacks others for his benefit. The rogue is a thief who takes by force, often partaking in robberies and raids with their gang members. He is a melee fighter who is at the center of the battle, killing mercilessly in the pursuit of filling his purse and stomach. (Other Names: Bandit, Brigand)
Assassin (Adv.) A trained blade who specializes in killing. He fights with no remorse, as his targets are selected by his employers. He is quick and lethal, rarely ever needing to get himself hurt in the midst of battle. Assassins are most comfortable with light weaponry, such as daggers and knives.
Corsair A rogue who sails and plunders the waters and coasts. The corsair is a specialist in marine combat, as well as dare-devil acrobat stunts. He fights for the thrill of fighting and enjoys his life to the fullest before his often-inevitable end at the gallows. He is a melee fighter who is at the center of the action, sometimes being foolish enough to take on multiple enemies at once. (Other Names: Pirate)
Privateer (Adv.) An ‘approved’ corsair who plunders and ravages without worry. The privateer is said only to have two fears: mutiny, or another privateer. He is the master of the seas and a swashbuckler with an immense love of fighting. He is a melee unit who is skilled enough to face two to three enemies at once with little difficulty.
Knight The generic defender of the weak, the knight is a righteous fellow who normally rides astride some steed – usually a horse – and is clad in protective armor. He is an ever-wandering character in search of maidens to save, villages to protect, and any other fanciful whatnot he suggests a good skirmish to be. The knight is an all-out melee unit whose defense and offense are well rounded; however, his maneuverability is hindered by his defense.
Guardian (Int.) The protector. He has stellar combat abilities, and is normally a hired bodyguard for the elite. The guardian is loyal, steadfast, and a formidable enemy to face. He is lightly to heavily armored depending on preference, and wields his weapon of choice with masterful skill. The guardian will not often engage in combat unless provoked, and if done so, he will seek merely to disable or disarm rather than to kill. -------------------------------------------------
*Int. - Is a class upgrade. Permission of use will be judged by member behaviour and posting ability by staff. *Adv. - Same as above.
::Six Forms of Combat::
Ryuh - (lowest form)Moves into battle with near-constant motion, attacking at all enemies and taking the offensive. The goal is to take down as many enemies, without pattern or calculating. Good for melee combat.
Asfal - Constant action, striking quickly, then retreating to calculate another attack. Fast, offensive/defensive form.
Haru - The goal is to move as little as possible, standing your ground and waiting for the enemy to move. Slow, deliberate fighting. Defensive form.
Taroc -The most aggressive, not often used or taught. Goal is to batter enemies defenses quickly and strongly, then disable or kill quickly.
Taroc-Karu - A sub-form of Taroc, it is a rare berserker form that comes from the sight of blood, or in even more rare cases, infection from darkness.((Special permission needed))
Yan-Kie -(highest form) Only a few have mastered it. Also known as 'Battle or Blade Dance', it is almost an art form. Flowing, dancing combat where the goal is not to hurt, but to manipulate the enemy until they can fight no more or are disabled.((Special Permission and high level needed))
