--~Introduction to the Merchant Class~--

Merchant classes are known as the backbone for the economy, culture, and state of the realms. Needless to say it is a very important division of the role play as well.

It is a very wide and variate class, with practically endless possibilities for classes. Listed below are a few, but you are welcome to create your own class, so long as it fall within the requirements.

Essentially, anyone in the merchant class creates, markets, or sells something. Whether they are involved in the creation (ex: blacksmith), the distribution (ex: traders), or selling (ex: shopkeeper) of something, they fall within this category. Many of these classes overlap with another class. (Ex: bard - mage/merchant)

--~Merchant Classes~--

Artisan
From the everyday items to objects of great value and power, artisans can fall within a myriad of categories. A few are: blacksmith, weaponsmith, woodcarver, weather worker (air mage/artisan), glassblower, spellweaver (mage/artisan), etc.

Merchant/Shopkeeper
Usually in charge of a shop or service (such as an apothecary, market, or shipping company), the merchant's title varies according to their trade (IE: spell merchant, baker, etc).

Trader
Can also be known as a gypsy class, the traders travel across the kingdoms selling their wares, usually traveling in caravans with other traders. Minstrels often accompany them on their travels.

Minstrel
A non-magic musician who makes his living much like the bard. Can multiclass with Mage and Fighter classes.

Innkeeper (Adv.)
With approval from the staff, an innkeeper may have a sub board as their inn, where they may take the role as innkeeper for visiting members/patrons.

Bard (Multiclass with Mage) -- restricted
A magical unit whose melodies instill others. He casts simple spells, mainly supports, and offers musical relief to stressed souls. The bard is a carefree spirit who enjoys traveling and literally singing – or playing – for his supper.
(Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Air)

Alchemist (Adv. - Multiclass with Mage)
The crafter, the alchemist uses his abilities to craft and create by means of magic. He can shape metals and wood into makeshift weapons, create shields from any solid material, and manipulate elements to his will. However, he cannot use his abilities if the element or material is not in his hands.
(Other Names: Crafter)
